About

Blandine Hausermann is a photographer working mostly on film. Born in a small French village, she has then lived in Brazil, England, Australia, and has been based in Barcelona, Spain, for the past year, a city whose light, terraces and people she finds particularly inspiring.

She studied Liberal Arts at King's College London and then Cultural Management at UIC Barcelona, and has always photographed the people she crosses paths with, from trips across Latin America and Europe. During her London years, she covered events, festivals (Dekmantel, All Points East, Lost Village, GALA, Waterworks), fashion shows and artists (Amaarae, Judith Hill), mostly for STRAND Magazine - an award-winning student-run, student-read arts and culture magazine based in London -, while photographing her friends at parties and on nature getaways. Renowned design studio Bureau Borsche featured her images from Dekmantel 2023 on their website, and her work has also been selected by Revelab Barcelona in their monthly selection.

Her eye hasn’t changed: faces, bodies in movement, moments that break with the everyday, and always a connection to nature, water above all, as a reflection of our inner states and of what holds us together.

Alongside photography, she produces cultural projects and events, most recently the first Fête de la Musique the Institut Français held outside its own venue, at the Museu Marítim de Barcelona. She is currently co-producing an exhibition with Sara Castillo’s fashion brand WDB?, pairing her prints with the brand’s new collection, at the Associació Cultural La Bibliomusicineteca in Barcelona.
